Good news everyone! I have updated poedCrack and decided to release it to the public. It’s a modified version of DCrypt by FloydianSlip – updated to work with 3.0 and now has Fat Binary support. It even gets both the ARMv6 and ARMv7 binaries, decrypts them and combines them into one cracked fat binary! (Only on a 3GS).

UPDATE: Version 2.5 is now out (03 Dec 2009). Fixed a bug present in 2.0 upwards where if a fat binary was cracked on an ARM7 device and the resulting IPA was installed using an AppSync compatible method (iTunes Sync, install0us – but NOT installous), it wouldn’t run.

UPDATE: version 2.1 is now out. Version 2.0 dumped the binaries the wrong way around. I have also combined both scripts into one. The same script will now work for all devices, you just won’t be able to crack the ARMv7 portion on a device older than a 3GS.

UPDATE: version 2.2 is now out (21 Oct 2009). Fixes a problem in Version 2.1 where the script would hang on dumping unencrypted data. If it hangs for 40 seconds, it will stop the current process and use MadHouse’s (AppCrack) method of dumping instead.

UPDATE: version 2.3 is now out (18 Nov 2009). Removed MadHouse’s dumping method and instead improved the original dumping method, now no longer uses a breakpoint so it should work every time. Also added Cracker Name and a Credits file (to prevent people stealing your crack and claiming it as their own).

UPDATE: version 2.4 is now out (01 Dec 2009). Fixed a bug in 2.3 where any ARM6 device (iPhone 2G, 3G, iPod Touch 1G, 2G) wouldn’t be able to create a working crack from a fat binary. It functions identical to 2.3 for ARM7 devices (iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G).

Installation:

  • NOTE: CRACKED APP LOCATES IN VAR/MOBILE/DOCUMENT/CRACKED
  • INSTALL: COPY poedCrack.app to /Application, set group permission 0775.
  • REBOOT

TESTED BY MYSELF WITH PS MOBILE AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!!

For the terminal way put the file poedCrack into /bin and set the permission to 0755
